these are just like the real net sponges you can get abroad, so no complaints on that front. the string used to hang the net in the shower frayed over time about a month into use, however i did put it through a round in the washer and dryer. in general dryers are harsh on everything, so it may be better to first disinfect the net sponge, then hang it in the sun to dry and for UV rays to kill any bacteria.
