worked on my sensitive skin for daily use; could be done smarter

I bought some african black soap from Omas Cosmetics I believe a couple of months ago. I'm leaving a review now because I liked it so much, i was going to get some more! but wanted to let people know some caveats before they buy it:

- the amount you get for $8 is smaller than I expected. For reference, if you're someone like me and will shower with the soap each day, especially if in a hot climate which could be multiple times a day, the soap will not last you for the same amount of time as say, a dove beauty bar will. 2-3oz IS delineated in the description, but it would do good for this seller to offer a select amount of different sizes and value/bulk packs.

- the product comes wrapped in a needless piece of plastic film. with all the plastic waste in this world, and the effects of plastic and plasticizers on our bodies coming to light, plastic outside of sterilization reasons seems pretty useless to me. it's a small nitpick but i mention it as much as i can in every review i leave because it's not a good practice nowadays. a similar, maybe even cheaper preserving effect could be achieved with newspaper and such. or honestly nothing at all if it comes in a dry and fresh package. hopefully when i order again it isn't the same way.

i have a lot of good to say about this product:
- this is the only african soap i've used in my lifetime that is gentle yet effective enough for me to use every day! anytime i had washed my face with african soap and had the off chance of getting it in my eye, it would burn and react BADLY. Interestingly, I've never had a burning or unsafe reaction to this product, "purging" period on the skin, and the like. with the exception being when i used it to wash my scalp. however, i believe this to be some of the nutrients in palm oil increasing the turnover of skin cells, which led to an initial purge of bad skin cells on the scalp, after which it had a noticeable clarifying effect and my scalp was CLEAR.

- the soap is not especially drying! while it will strip some oils i find that it won't do so for days at a time, and if you apply shea butter to the skin after, your skin retains moisture from the water. i saw some reviews complaining about staining, but i have either not noticed this occur or they might be mistaking the runoff of the grey palm ash drying on their bathtub to be permanent staining... it's soap guys. you can wash it off lol

- around when the african soap ran out, I noticed that my legs and overall skin tone had become more even than before, and in combination with a net sponge, my skin was VERY soft compared to before. I have some keratosis pilaris (strawberry skin) for as long as i can remember, and this soap made a noticeable improvement on that while I had it.

-the ingredients are simple and seem nutritious from the vibrant color of the soap compared to others. it wasn't filled with any useless additional ingredients for cosmetic purposes which i will always appreciate. if the ingredients were organic as well it'd honestly be worth six-stars but we can't have everything lol

overall very pleased with the product! keep it up

Very pleased

This is my first time using Authentic African Black Soap and for a soap that's hand-crafted it doesn't leave behind a film or an uncomfortable feeling on my skin. I leave the shower feeling fresh, clean, and my skin feels nice to touch.

I love all the products!!

I have the net sponges, the black soap, and the lip balm! Everything has been of high quality and it's one less need I have to endlessly search for at the store! You can tell the soap is ACTUAL African black soap and not the commercialized nonsense.
